My paper is going well. The first half of my paper aims to define what cyborg rhetoric is, and to do this i use Haraway and Aristotle as my back up. I used the following terms to link cyborg and rhetoric together immersion, representation, reflexivity, language, image, inscription, prosthesis, self, technology, and embodiment.
In the second half of my paper i focused on writing a cyborg rhetoric in which i used blogging, texting, and the world wide media as examples.

What is (A) cyborg rhetoric?
To quote Dona Haraway, a cyborg rhetoric is: “A cyborg is a cybernetic organism, a hybrid of machine and organism, a creature of social reality as well as a creature of fiction. Social reality is lived social relations, our most important political construction, a world-changing fiction” (Haraway). Now, my definition of cyborg rhetoric: the use of texts or the internet to argue a point or to prove a point, or simply weaving my way through a book as words run through my brain, and as I make sense out of them I am demonstrating a form of cyborg rhetoric. The internet is a great example of cyborg rhetoric as it is all texts based; chat rooms such LamdaMoo are great examples of cyborg rhetoric, because they too are all texts based.

What does it mean to be human and conscious?
I arrived at the conclusion that humans were not programmed to be consciously aware of what they are doing 24/7 around the clock, because if humans are constantly aware of their conscious then they are a lot like computers and maybe even machines. Computers are programmed to perform certain tasks that humans command them to perform, and follow instructions very well such evidence makes the following claim: computers were designed to always be consciously aware of their performance ITS A MACHINE! Humans, on the flip side, were not made nor were they programmed to be conscious around the clock because they cannot act, they cannot be, they cannot perform when they are constantly critiquing themselves as such an act takes over the mind and the body.

Embidiment and inscription make humans cyborgs
Yes, from my understanding embodiment and inscription make humans cyborgs; as i said in my response paper, the mind works as a computer it saves info and reserves it for the mind to pull up whenever it is needed. Girls are taught to act like girls, and boys are taught to act like boys; as a girl grows older her parents teach her how to act in public and be lady-like the mind registers this information and the mind programs the girl to always act like a girl sit properly, behave properly, and talk properly. The mind teaches the body commends and signals the body to act a certain way, the computer registers information and follows certain commands, and this is why i believe the embodiment/inscription theory help define humans as cyborgs (half human and half computer).

The Matrix Reloaded and Immersion
Matrix, and immersion what do the two have to do with one another? Well, after watching the movie again i realized that immersion comes into play through out the entire movie. Immersion: when one loses themselves, has an out of body experience, and is thrown into the virtual world.....this is how i felt when i watched the movie (again). I felt that i was more attracted, distracted, and pleased by the matrix world (the fake, the unreal, the representation)this was all most appealing to me in comparison to the Zion world. Although i felt like i was in a virtual world through the entire movie, i felt like i had an out of body experience with Neo when he goes through those machines, computers, chips and plugs to be welcomed into the Zion world. The entire movie is a great example of immersion; it fits the definition for immersion completely well...the viewer is thrown in the virtual world, not because they are watching a movie, but more so due to the content of the movie.

What Does Haraway Mean by the Ironic Dream?
As i went back and re-read the portion where Haraway defines the "ironic dream" i was a bit puzzled, because she never clearly states what she believes the ironic dream is; my assumption is that she would like the reader to figure it out. I chose to believe the ironic dream defines the advancement of technology, politics, texts, and cybernetics. Ironically, the above listings have made it into the world, and they are here to stay for good, but when they were introduced to the world is was with a good intention; however, they are beginning to cause harm to the human population because they are signaling to humans that they no longer have to think for themselves. The ironic dream, it sends many people to the virtual world.

Was a real crime committed in a virtual world?
I would have to say, yes, a real crime was committed in the virtual world. Hey, after all the virtual world is recognized by many to be a mere representation of the real world; the virtual world mimics the real world, whatever happens in the real world goes,so whatever happens in the virtual world should also go. Yes, a crime can surely be committed in the real world. The virtual world consists of real people, real ideas, real views, and real perspectives; many people also view the virtual world as one that consists of laws, rights, and privileges....if people can manage to make all of this seem "real" then why make a crime look unreal??? Possibly, because people do not want to take responsibility.....individuals who are crazy about the "cyborg world/virtual world" spend so much time on trying to get others to people that the virtual world is real, its so cool and different, and IT EXISTS; yet, when something bad or unfortunate takes place no one wants to take responsibility, and want to get off by saying, "well, that is not possible it just can't be real."
