What Does Haraway Mean by the Ironic Dream?

As i went back and re-read the portion where Haraway defines the "ironic dream" i was a bit puzzled, because she never clearly states what she believes the ironic dream is; my assumption is that she would like the reader to figure it out. I chose to believe the ironic dream defines the advancement of technology, politics, texts, and cybernetics. Ironically, the above listings have made it into the world, and they are here to stay for good, but when they were introduced to the world is was with a good intention; however, they are beginning to cause harm to the human population because they are signaling to humans that they no longer have to think for themselves. The ironic dream, it sends many people to the virtual world.
